What Membership Is Right for Me?

INTRODUCTORY MEMBERSHIP:

Mineral and/or royalty ownership is required. Best for those that are new to NARO, students with valid ID and ex-members whose membership expired over three years ago. This is a special rate for the first year only. Membership is not valid until reviewed and approved by NARO staff.

BASIC MEMBERSHIP:

This is a good level for individual owners and professionals in the mineral management field who work in one, or a few states who want to learn about mineral management, stay up to date on legislative movement and network with out mineral owners.

FAMILY MEMBERSHIP:

This is a good level for owners who are managing minerals with family or working on teaching the next generation about mineral ownership and management. Additionally, would like to keep in the loop about legislative/regulatory movement, new trends, challenges or issues.

MAJOR OWNER MEMBERSHIP:

Mineral and/or royalty ownership is required. Best for those whore minerals and/or royalties are in a family or larger business entity, including large trust. Membership in all NARO Chapters is included. Membership is not valid until reviewed and approved by NARO staff.

FOUNDATION EAGLE MEMBERSHIP:

The Foundation Eagle Membership offers all the benefits of a Basic Membership, with a tax deductible donation made to the NARO Foundation of $1,250. This donation allows the Foundation to expand its educations activities. It includes membership in all NARO chapters.
Business that service Mineral and Royalty Owners but do not own.

BUSINESS SUPPORTER MEMBERSHIP:

This is a good level for indivdual professionals and small business who service mineral and/or royalty owners. No minerals or royalty ownership required. Includes membership in all NARO Chapters.

SOURCE ROCK MEMBERSHIP:

This is a good level for professionals and businesses who service mineral and/or royalty owners. No minerals or royalty ownership required. Part of this membership includes a $500 credit towards a NARO convention and membership in all NARO Chapters. Membership is not valid until reviewed and approved by NARO staff.

 

Each NARO Membership offers benefits from the national organization, as well as the state chapter of your choice. It is only $25 to add additional states to your membership, if you have assets in multiple states.

In accordance with Federal tax law, the following disclosure notice must be included with each new member solicitation and membership renewal notice: “Contributions to the National Association of Royalty Owners (NARO) are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for income tax purposes. Any $25 dues paid to a NARO state chapter is non-tax deductible, as it may or may not be used for lobbying activities.” However, they may be tax deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses. Please check with your tax advisor to see whether our dues are deductible as a Property Protection Expense (Code Sec. 212) or deductible under Code Sec. 162, on you individual tax return.

Contributions to the NARO Foundation, Inc., a duly authorized 501 (c) (3) entity, are legitimate charitable deductions.
