Lawrence Petrick Jr. recently retired as the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Deputy Director of Occupational Health & Safety. Before working for the IAFF in Washington DC, he retired from the Shaker Heights Fire Department (Ohio), with the rank of Lieutenant, after serving 32 years. He had been on the Executive Board for IAFF Local 516 for over 20 years and is a past president. He served as the Director of Health, Safety, & EMS for the Ohio Association of Professional Fire Fighters for 21 years. Additionally, he was a Trustee for the Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund Ohio for 11 years, including holding the position of Chairman. He holds an Associate degree in Fire Science Technology and a bachelor’s degree in Fire & Safety Engineering Technology. He lives in Strongsville Ohio with his wife, Jeanette. However, they spend most of the time at their second home and land in Carroll County, which they have owned for over thirty years.
